Dear Homeowners,

The Homeowners Association Board meeting was held on the April 26. We approved a new contract for mowing of the common areas. We are using the same contractor as previous years, if you would like to make arrangements for Andy to mow your lawn you can contact him at (304) 229-4524.

On April 11, some of our residents were the victims of vandalism. There were a total of twelve car tires punctured and several cars had severe scratches and crude messages left on them. Most of the targeted vehicles were parked close to the road way. The Sheriffs Department has filed a report on this incident.

During the last board meeting we discovered, that two of our residents have had their homes tested for radon gas. Their results were higher than the acceptable safe levels. Both residents used the recommend methods to vent the gas, and their homes were retested, and are now in the acceptable range. Test kits are available at Lowe’s, Home Depot or online.

I would like to remind all residents to check and follow the covenants and local building codes, when building sheds and fences. If you are working on a summer project and need to dispose of some dirt please contact me. We have some low spots in one of the common areas we are trying to fill in. I will show you where to dump it.

To those residents who lease their properties, please complete and return the Rental Policy form available here. That way we will at least know who your renter is.

Now that spring is here, it’s time for me to issue the annual and annoying reminder about speeding. Please obey the posted 15 MPH speed limit when driving in the subdivision.

The next Board meeting will be on July 26th @ 4:00 pm at Bobby Pevarnik’s home on 285 Longwood Dr. All are welcome to attend these meetings. Bobby has called a Special Meeting for June 14, 2009 @ 6:00 pm.

Sincerely,

Bobby Pevarnik
